Hi,
I have just acquired a JD 4400 with Sync Reverser. The problem I'm having is with the clutch engagement; when reverse is selected clutch engagement is smooth, forward is very jerky - if I gradually lift my foot nothing happens until it feels like the end of the clutch travel has been reached then it suddenly engages. It's weird, sometimes I can completely remove my foot from the peddle and nothing happens but when I touch the peddle it suddenly engages?
I suspect that the clutch is faulty but want to be sure before I split the tractor.
Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks, Richie
