HI All,

I am looking for a subsoiler single shank that is compatiable with Imatch.

Anyone know what brand will fit.

I was at TS this weekend and they have farmforce(hawkline) and it did not match. Someone once told me that all of hawkline is compatiable but apparently not.

Any suggestions is appreciated

THanks

It may be easier and faster to have a welder do the conversion to IMatch for you. Plus, this is such a small implement it is very easy to hookup anyway with the standard hitch. IMatch is great for implements that will stand up straight on their own at rest but in the case of a single shank subsoiler you will need parking feet ect which adds to the cost.

I might suggest you look around for a parabolic shank style subsoiler too as these are slightly easier to pull than the straight shank type. At any rate this is a good anchor for a 4320.:D

The Frontier PS10 Subsoiler is claimed to be iMatch compatible.

John Deere Ag - New Equipment Features for PS10 Series Subsoilers

Something that I have seen done with mixed success (depending on the soil) is to store the subsoiler partially sunk into the soil. If the soil is firm enough, it will stand upright and enable easier use of the quick hitch.

I want to bring this one back from the dead..... I can but a used (not really but its second hand) King Kutter for 100 bucks. I will not buy a new country line (seen them broke on here) at TSC for 150. Or 300 for the frontier model that is I match compatable. Everything I have is I match and I think I might use it more if it was I match. Its a 5 minute or less hook up from storage to use in the field.

I could also wend up the King Kutter to be compatable, but I don't know if a 4520 with wheel weights and R1s will tear either of them up in heavy ground?

Just an FYI, the Frontier subsoiler is made by tartar, or how ever its pronounced. The same company that makes all the TSC ones.....

Regardless of brand you buy,I would not buy one(subsoiler)unless it had a shearpin.;)

I have yet to see one in my area built with one. I don't want to pay 500.00 dollars for one when I can find these all day for 100 or less. I can also beef them up pretty easy....

Around here, many people buy them and find that their lawn tractor will not pull them. Many people seem to be looking to sell used ones that have not seen 2 minutes of use.

I fully agree that a sheer pin built unit is by far the best, but the cost seem prohibitive in this case.

I also put money on it that by the end of the year I will have posted pictures of one that I have bent up. a 4520 that is ballasted with ag tires should rip one up IF I hit something. The only thing I can do is bet I will not hit anything and IF I do, I will know the weak spot and fix it.

I lump that comment in the "Sounds great on paper but has zero value in the real world" category.

I've used a subsoiler on quite a few different tractors and the result is always the same. When you hit an unmovable object you come to a sudden stop. Havent seen any tractor damage because of no shear pin. IMO its no different then when I catch a stump or rock with my BB...tractor comes to a stop and thats it. I've yet to see a rear blade, box blade, or any other rear implement with shear pins.

Box Blading in Reverse...well....we can have a 4 page discussion on that

Agree with that...I would (will use) my tiller more once I get it iMatch compatible.... others are right, you end up storing the subsoiler on the ground anyways (unless you get parking stands)...but I'd rather just muscle it onto my iMatch then have to remove the iMatch AND Muscle it onto the 3pt.. The key here is not having to remove the iMatch.
