I have a friend who is suffering between the choice of the which 4000 TWENTY series to buy. He will definately get eHydro, FEL, and a Rotary Cutter. Prob will get Ag tires, definately 4x4.
He will be doing a lot of clearing, grading with Box blade, loader work on a new homeplace on a small weekend farm in NE Alabama. He has a 20 acre field that is in great shape and ready to plant as a food plat for Dove hunting.
He will have 15-20 acres of field to bush hog and there are some pines thrown in the field in random fashion, so I think his cutter width will be somewhat limited.
Long story short, he loves 4000 Twenty series but is worried a 4320 is not powerful enough, but at the same time doesn't want to waste $3,000 on HP if he doesn't need it. The 4 cyl turbos in these tractors produce a lot of torque for their size (48Hp deere produces more torque than a 55HP Case/NH).
He has been quoted about $24,000 for a 4320 with Hydro and 400X loader and Ags.
I belive a 4520 is about $1500 more and a 4720 is another $1500 beyond that.
Any input from you experienced tractor owners?
