4310 Trade or sell numbers...

I am toying with trading in my 4310 or selling it...

I have the 4310 MFWD HST with 150 hrs. It looks nearly new (with some minor scratrches)

I would also sell the 430 loader. ususal wear.

On machinefinder, the units like this are listed for MORE than I gave for mine.... Is that what I can expect?

I am thinking of a 3520/300cx. I hope my 47 hoe fits. Of course, maybe I should sell it, too... Probably come out ahead...

Has anybody sold or traded anything similar? What are my chances?

Mike, your probably not likely to get more then you paid for it. My L48 sold for about 10% less then I bought it for, at least, that is what my dealer said I should expect so that is how I priced it. What made my tractor more attractive at 10% off new was that anyone buying it did not have to pay sales tax either. Why you should want to opt out of club 4310 is a mystery, but then, you are more likely to get the best price for it now rather then later when it has more dings and scratches. With only 150 hours, it's basically new. My L3830 has about 400 hours on it but looks good enough to be sold as almost new. Thats not something I'm remotely considering but must admit the new JD's do look pretty nice. Rat...

I was told trade in value to the dealer was $14K with FEL and LX5. That is why I'm still driving it. (Also because my FIL gives me the key to his 5420)...Lucky me.

I just had one here that I sold with a 430 loader and Frontier 72" grooming mower with 35 hrs. I sold it $19000 to a guy that drove 2 hrs to buy it, saying it was the best deal around.
Maybe I was a little light on the price, but the customer that had it needed to sell it so I brought it here and sold it for him. He was very happy with what we got for it.

What were you thinking of asking for yours?

It may be the best way. This is where you have to get a feel for the buyer. I did not include the box scraper on mine. The guy wanted it, but I mentioned he would be paying very close to what I paid for it. He thought pretty hard about it. In the end he did not buy the boxscraper and I really did not want to sell it. I would decide on whether your hoe can be used on another tractor your considering. If not, your tractor with all the implements certainly would be in the ballpark at $21 I should think. After owning two new tractors now, I would not hesitate to buy a used one like yours. Your in the driver seat since you want to trade up but don't necessarily have to. The drag in it all is the amount of time the tractor sits looking pretty when you need it and finally break down and use it only to go through the whole cleaning process again. Thats what happened to me.

The big reason to include the hoe is what has to be done to the tractor to set it up.

I recently drove my tractor to a hayride party down the road. they thought it was brand new, then decided I keep it washed. Neither, it just stays clean..

My wife thought I was nuts putting the same wax that we use on Vipers on it, but it sure sheds the dirt!!! I only waxed it once when it was new...
