4310 PTO not engaging, unhooked wire?

Swap the 4x4 and pto connections and see it the circuit is working. I think they are the same connector at the solenoid.

They are on the same connector so would have to jump them i guess..

Update: Solved

Don’t know exactly what was wrong but its working now.

Pulled the coils off the solenoid valves and pulled the connectors apart. Swapped the coils and tried it. Still nothing.

Removed the valve to check it out. Used the MFWD coil to test the valve and it worked.

Reinstalled the valve. Hooked up again and all is good.. valve must have been just stuck closed cause she works like new now.

I'm wondering if you didn't get a speck of foreign material into the valve and it stuck closed. Highly unlikely but possible. Another scenario could be that a bit of water settled into the valve and lightly rusted it. It took you taking it off to distort the metal enough to release the plunger.

Awesome that it's working now without having to spend a lot of money.

The last post was last year, I thought I would respond on your post.
My husband & I also own a John Deere 4310 tractor (NOT EHYDRO).
Our tractor was flooded when we bought it. My husband is new to tractors & has been researching.
We finally got the tractor running after about a year. when we first bought the tractor it ran, got it home it stopped running.

Anyways.... regarding the wire you are talking about. This is the RED-C (near clutch pedal)
it's function is for the cruise control option, it is also for the diverter valve wiring harness.

I am not really sure regarding the PTO on your tractor. On our tractor it looks like someone cut those wires.
