We've blown two 20 amp fuses that are related to the ignition switch. According to the last guy on the tractor, it blinked four short blinks on the indicator. I'm going to give it all a once-over in the a.m., but would appreciate any foresight in case someone has run into something similar. We just sent it to Blue Ridge Ag & Turf which alleged they fixed a wiring problem. This occurs when driving around mowing. The tractor just stops.

After replacing the fuse today, when turning off the pto by pushing down on the yellow knob, the pto kept turning for a minute or so after depressing the knob. Odd!

I'd appreciate any thoughts you all have. Thanks.

Which 20a fuse keeps blowing?? They are marked letters q,r,s,t. The only code for all 4 shorts is a code 12, continuous shorts, no breaks. The tech manual says to replace the controller!!!

Let use know which fuse and verify the code.

I would give it a good inspection on the underside. Look for pinched, pulled, or disconnected wires.

It turns out it's 3 short blinks and one long blink. I'm told it's the switch/key fuse that has blown. Hope this helps. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I just went back to the tractor and no blinks showed up. Oddly, we replaced the fan belt this morning. Would that be related in any fashion?

And another thing.

Our tractor was being used to mow this afternoon. Puff of blue smoke from behind driver's seat. PTO disengaged and won't turn back on. No fuses blown this time and no code is blinking.

Curiouser and curiouser. No visible signs of burned/melted wires, either.

That code is code 3 throttle position potentiometer is out of calibration.

It will disable the LoadMatch and has loss of performance. If there is no code flashing there is not a problem. The tractor rechecks for correct calibration each time at start-up.

My guess is there is wire under the seat that has rubbed through the insulation and was shorting to ground(causing the fuse to blow) Now it has burned in two (the smoke under the seat) and the ends of the wires have insulation melted over it. I think it would be time for "exploritory surgery" Somewhere between the seat and fender there is a burned wire. The wiring diagram does not show where the wires are routed.

question: have you powerwashed the tractor lately?
