4310 e-hydro problems

This is going to be a five beer rant so tune out NOW if you don't want to hear it!
Just got a my tractor wednsday and put 14 hrs on it mowing and digging out stumps the next two days. I love what this machine is able to do! I worked it hard and it did everything that I asked of it, but today after doing a little grading and digging out a stump that I had missed, I was hauling some debri to the burn pile and all of a sudden the engine sound changed and it started smoking. I immediatly shut her down and checked the fluids, everything was OK so I drove it home. Will call the dealer monday and cry.

Sorry I guess I panicked. I've had mixed experience with Yanmar engines the last one(YM 2500) blew at 17hrs.
But this time I read the manual and checked the air filter and drained the sediment bowl and it was cured. Hooray, I guess that there was some crude maybe from manufacturing or maybe from my fuel cans. Now if I could just recover from the beer. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That sure sounds fishy!

1. Yanmar engines have a bullet proof reputation.

2. A YM2500 is a gray market tractor, which means it was importad after being used in Japan. But only 17 hours? Do you think that is really was brand new, or was it "refurbished" ?

I am just curious, I do hope you have the same good luck I am having with mine...
