4300 Temp guage stays pegged on hot!!

My 1999 JD 4300 HST temp guage goes to hot after a short run up (30-45 sec.) I have replaced the sending unit and have checked connections to the cluster. What could be the problem??? Getting frustrated!! Please Help!!

It could be a problem in the cluster, they had problems with them early on-mostly fogging up though and where replaced under warranty.

My 4300 gauge has always had a mind of its own. It either stays at 1/4" from the left or quickly jumps to almost red. Been that way for 10 years so not concerned. Recently blew the dirt out of the radiator and now it seems to be staying more at the 1/4" point. :confused3:

I had a plane that used to do that... The problem ended up being that once everything heated up there was a wire that short out. $10k later we figured it out.... Might want to check for any chaffed wires...
