The range lever on 4200, 4300 and 4400 Tractors, starting with the following serial numbers, was changed so that a 4-bar linkage is used instead of the previous single-bar linkage. This gives the operator a more positive feel of engagement when shifting ranges.

If I understand JD's numbering system, a tractor with serial number LV4300S436644 would have the new 4-bar system already installed, correct?

I suspect the problem I was having with this is biological/organic, rather than mechanical. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Will know once my tractor is returned and I can try it again.
