425 Backfire

What causes engine to backfire just about every time I turn it off? Is there something I need to adjust? Otherwise seems to be running fine.

You need to give us a little more info. Is it gas or diesel, what brand, how old ,etc.

Extra gas in carb will cause it; try shutting it off at wide open throttle.

I assume you have a JD 425?
