4220 Branson 3 point hitch issue

I have a 4220 Branson and my 3 point hitch would not go down, I check the draft lever, control lever and the speed knob and all are fine, I ended up standing on the arms and bounced a few times and finally got the arms to go down, but now they will not raise. Any ideas what may have happened? I doubt my 147lb body could have done any damage as I know attachments weigh a lot more than me... Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

If you have a FEL, is it working OK?

Put a hyd gage in the system and check the pressure if any.

Yes, my FEL works fine as well as the steering etc, I pulled the releif valve to see if it was stuck - ok, pulled the safety valve - ok, then pulled the speed knob to see if the valve was stuck closed, also fine...

Not sure where test port is on the 3 pont hitch? Would you know where its located? I do have a 4000 psi gauge to try...

You should install the hyd gage in a tee at the IN port of the FEL valve, and use it to monitor and trouble shoot the hyd system.

With the gage installed at the FEL, any valve you activate will show the pressure on the hyd gage. It will tell you if no pressure, low pressure, and relief setting.

If your FEL is working fine, that means that you have fluid flowing to the tank.

Do you have a switch that diverts the fluid?
