Well, I posted the message regarding "selling my 4100 HST" possibly to purchase a BX22, but after thinking about it
and talking with my wife and bro, I decided to hold-off.
Since I like my 4100, I think I will keep it for a couple more
years and then buy another machine /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Part of this decision is due to sitting on a 4210 at a Deere
dealer and falling in love with how comforable it is. It is
not that my 4100 is unfomfortable, it is just that I feel like
the slightly larger tractor is better still. I have 2.1 acres
of mostly open land, but with hills. I have decided that I have
enough projects (i.e. planting a million trees /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif) and snow
removal needs on my drive, that I could lie to myself and justify stepping up just one notch to a 4210. Here lies the dilemna.......the price difference seems very small between
a 4210 and a 4310.....can I get some feedback on the price
differences and what owners have found ? I sort of wish I had
bought a slightly bigger tractor, as I feel the tractor
attitude of buy what you need, then buy one level higher is
a great idea !

As usual, thanks in advance !

I expect to be in the market real soon, and was also attracted by a 4210. After reviewing some specs and talking to a couple of dealers I'll be going with the 4310 due to the larger displacement engine (1.5L vs. 1.33L) and more importantly, the higher capacity hydraulic system. The 4310 not only has a higher system pressure, but also more volume.
So far my best price on a 4310 eHydro 4x4 with a mid PTO is $15.4k

" I think I will keep it for a couple more"

Good decision! 4300's are popular and there should be quite a few used ones in 2 years. I looked at a '99 with syncshift. Nice machine, but I'd of taken a big hit (since I still owed on my 670).
And..in two years, any problems with eHydro should arise and have a fix.

4100's a nice little machine...so is my 670. They'll both give us great service until we're ready to upgrade.
