Will my 4200 John Deere with a belly mount mower attachment handle the hydraulic requirements for 3 point hitch log splitter? It has two disconnect hose fixtures on back of tractor, but fluid flows only when lever is pulled to lift mower. The splitter would be a tsc county line.

Should as many have a backhoe installed. Might have to close the valve supplying oil pressure to the three point.

Egon, Thanks, I guess my next concern is: is it ok to hold the remote lift lever in the up position with a tarp strap all the time I am using the splitter?

That one I can't answere. With the valve shut off and backhoe in use never touch the lever.
