After months of looking and studying over several different tractors I thought I had finally gotten it down to between the JD4115 and the Kubota 2915. I was heavily leaning toward the 2910 because of the increase in hp over the 4115 and the lower price, now I understand the 2910 is being replaced by a new L series, the 3030. The L series to a little to big for the work I need to do. I talking with a friend over the weekend and he suggested I look at the NH29DA. Said it was comparable to the 2910 in hp but he liked it better because of the suppersteer and that the NH loader had the curved arms which gave better visibility and was not as big as the Kubota L series. I know little or nothing about the NH brand except it was once the Ford brand. From what I read all the manufactures make good tractors so I am basing my decision on price and performance. I need a tractor in the size range of the 2910 because I have 10.5 acres of woods (side of a moutain!) that need to cleaning out for fire protection. I have very little mowing to do. I want a FEL and a 5" rotary cutter for cleaning the underbrush and moving lots of rocks. The super steer would be nice since I have a lot of trees to work around. How do all three brands compare in size, performance and price? I woud appreciate any feedback. I don't have any brand loyality just want a good, soild tractor to last the next 20 years or so with a few feature comforts such as hydro. transmission. I have dealers close by for all the brands.
