4115 and 5ft kk rotary

If I were you, I would have this 5ft KK mower hooked up to a tractor so you could see it/hear it run before you buy it. I looked at a used 5ft KK mower earlier this year and was glad I got to see it run first. That mower had to be the noisest mower I have ever heard in my life, and it was fairly new and in really good condition. I decided real quick that mower was not for me. I wound up buying a used 5ft Int'l Machinery IM502 mower for $500. It runs really quiet behind my 790. If you're gonna spend a lot of time bushhogging, you will want a mower that runs quiet (relative to other mowers that is).
Also, by watching it spin up, you can tell if it has any bad vibrations to it too. Good luck!

I have been running a 72" Frontier finnish mower on my 4115 for a couple of years and have had no problems. I have even cut some brush with it without it missing a beat. Love this tractor. A 5 footer would be no problem.

Finish mowers are a different animal than a Rotary Cutter. A Rotary Cutter takes a lot more machine to run.

I'm using a Woods HC-60 with a slip clutch with my 2720 and have no problems. I'd say it is a medium duty cutter. The gears are rated to 65 hp warranteed for 5 years. It's a well enough made mower if your not out everyday doing the 'north 40' with 2" trees in your path.

I use three front weights and leave the FEL on with the bucket off for extra ballast. No light steering problems. It comes in about 600 lbs and believe it or not I'll bet I can run an HC-72 which isn't much heavier. The 2720 comes in a couple of hundred pounds and several HP over the 2520 if I remember so you may have to stick with the 5 footers.
