If I were you, I would have this 5ft KK mower hooked up to a tractor so you could see it/hear it run before you buy it. I looked at a used 5ft KK mower earlier this year and was glad I got to see it run first. That mower had to be the noisest mower I have ever heard in my life, and it was fairly new and in really good condition. I decided real quick that mower was not for me. I wound up buying a used 5ft Int'l Machinery IM502 mower for $500. It runs really quiet behind my 790. If you're gonna spend a lot of time bushhogging, you will want a mower that runs quiet (relative to other mowers that is).
Also, by watching it spin up, you can tell if it has any bad vibrations to it too. Good luck!
