I recently tore the hose off the back of the hydraulic filter on my 4110. I removed the filter housing while I straightened the bracket it sits on. Everything is back where it belongs (more or less) and I filled the oil back up, but it sat for 3 days with no oil and it appears the pump needs to be primed. I bled the filter canister, but I am apparently not getting oil to the loader. The 3pt and aux valve are both working though. The system is supposed to be 9.77 us gallons (not incl loader), I have put in about that much, but don't see any on the stick yet. Anyone run into this changing their hyd/tran oil?

The oil level on the transmission dip stick is hard to see I would check again. Also if your 3PH is working that means your getting pressure to the loader valve and your 3PH is being fed by the power beyond on the loader valve. The problem has to be at your loader valve if the loader will not operate. I'm not sure what could be wrong at that point but the service rep will in today and I will ask him.

I discussed your problem with the Mahindra service rep and we concluded that your problem must be in the loader valve pressure relief. It sounds like you have already come to that conclusion. Let us know what you find.

Did you have full pressure at the 3ph and remotes? Im asking because it seems on my 7520 that the FEL relief also acts on everything fed beyond the fel valve. I ran over a 12" concrete block while clearing a lot a couple years ago and bent my bracket all over too. I didn't rip the hose off but it kinked it so bad I lost my power steering. Seems to me that circuit would only affect the p/s except for the fact it drains the trans. case if a fluid leak occurs like yours. The internal pump is what supplies all the other hydraulics on the tractor and doesn't require that filter circuit to operate. Just the operation of the p/s system draws fluid thru that filter which effectively filters for the whole system since they use the same resevoir. The fluid has always been very difficult to see on the trans. dipstick - have to hold it in just the right light to see the level on the stick. Mine has always taken the 10 gallons to refill on a complete drain.

I think it holds between 11 and 12 gallons altogether. Obviously, when you drain and change the fluid you aren't going to get all of it out.

It's not HST. Power steering, remotes and 3pt work ok when the pressure relief on the loader sticks open. Just loose loader functions.
