Hi there tractorErnie

Hydraulic oil is right on full. The fluid is clean as a whistle. I changed the filter when I changed the oil. Seems like manual lists only 3 places to check oil; engine and transmission (daily) and front 4WD front axel(100 hr). I guess I'll just run it.

Coffeeman,

One other possibility I know of...

The 3pt hitch is live and always puts up pressure when raised. I've also noticed that due to the awkward position of the hydraulic lever, the "full up" position is behind the comfortable driver's reach.

Due to this, I often find myself not having it 100% up, maybe 90%. When trailering or have to be sure of the clearance of the 3pt implement, I push the lever up and hold it a second or so a little past where it will stay on its own. The arms don't lift any more, but I can hear a momentary whine from the relief kicking in.

Try moving your up/down lever just a tad below full up position. Perhaps it could be slightly out of adjustment?

BTW, I added a little fluid to mine and no more whine....

If you need to add fluid, it is the knurled knob just above and to the right of the rear end dipstick. Mine has a gob of orange paint on it.

Good luck.
