4100 throttle slides

Starts, runs, when the throttle is pushed forward it comes right back. I tried fiddling with the nut but its too tight or too loose, maybe a broken washer in the assembly? I kind of figure this isnt the first one.

Looks like it works by friction. The adjusting nut and lock nut are behind the dash. (#10) The #9's are spring washers. #6 appears to be a friction washer.

I was hoping that was the case but havnt got back to it, we tried to locktite the nut and hoping I get a shot to look at it today. Spent the day with a 2014 Ford Flex and drive problem, way too much fun.
