401k-Holding fast but..........

401K's are a rip off, anywhilst. The only one that consistently makes money is the person managing the 401K. The person putting the money into the 401K is last at the trough ....

Someone's been steering you wrong.

I had a 401K through Fidelity with my last employer and there were no management fees. At my current employer, I still have Fidelity and the fee is about $38 per year. I'm hardly the last at the trough.

This will all be okay if you can wait it out. Not great if you need to withdraw funds now or make required minimum distributions.

I haven't even looked in the last month or so. I only hope that when China gets back to work in a couple of weeks, the whole mess blows over and the marketeers get their senses back. It took years to come back from '08.

2008 we lost 30% of our investments. By 2010 we had returned to 100% of pre-2008 value. By 2012 we had doubled our investment from pre-2008 value.

Doubling your money in 4 years is not a bad thing.

China has a handle on this mess, it is the US and Europe that are behind the curve, especially the US.

What happened to the guy that brought it up in the first place in China? Oh yeah, he got arrested. (then he died of it). It's so much easier to control something like this when you can threaten the public like they can in China.

On the other hand, South Korea is testing many more people than the US. We failed to test early/test many.
