4-in-1 bucket

Just happened by the Power-Trac site and saw they've posted pics in the attachments section of a 4-in-1 bucket on a 400 series. Looks pretty cool/w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif.

Scott: John, Hans and I only saw it open & close when we went down in November. It was typical Power Trac -- just enough overbuilt that it would be hard to hurt it.
(Don't take that as a challenge. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif)
I'm looking forward to hearing about it from the first TBN purchaser. Hans (Bubenberg) nearly ordered one in November, but may not still have that on his list. Hans?

Very cool! I was wondering why they didn't already have a 4-in-1 bucket...it seems like this would give most of the functionality of a grapple bucket without the grapple to get in the way...anyone used both? What's the impression?

just bought another auger for my deck construction crew and we need that topdresser:

MultiSpread™ 300 (standard) Large Capacity, 27 cubic ft hopper with four tires for low ground pressure, to come down to aerate and inject more sand and organic matter into your "golf course", so the 4 in 1 has to wait a few month.

more, more ..... t...attachments ... i need ......

all kidding aside, you will be the first person we will do this top dressing procedure for "but don't try it at home" after we have tested it on my ex's property with different densities of topdressing and multi passages of aerator and pasture drag.

the pasture drag will probably be replaced with a pt sweeper brush device but yes, first we need to make some dollars to pay for all this. the top dresser with all the bells and whistles is $4700.00

great idea, just another d... knee jerk controlled device but this time with twoooooo knee jerk levers. if we will ever get an answer, solution, not withstanding to make the conversion Charlie made, which is an excellent solution. i tried it and liked it very much.

i would be all for a 4 in 1 bucket with grappler .. supper idea

the pt show/sales crew got snowed in so they won't be back until tomorrow but Don went to get the info for us.

the 4in One, as they call it, is 45 inches wide and the price on it is $1200.00.

Hans, I'd love one of those top dressers for my little "golf course"

Is there a market for this in residential / commercial lawn maint?

I used to cut grass proffesionally as a student, still is my favortie job of all time. I've been toying around with using my tractor part time to make a few bucks. I planned on offering "premium" services, aerating, overseeding, light landscape work, top dressing? vs. the week to week mowing. Thought about offering my services thru established lawn mowers (giving them a commision for the referal / subcontract of course)

Maybe if I can get the tractor to pay for itself, the wife will ease up on the implement approval process.

some people pull these things with ztrs ... i like not to get stuck ...so my ztrs do only the mowing and my green machine is the beasty that has to pull and push.

you don't need no help either .... when we are all set up, we will report on all of topdressing. but only after we made a few dry runs and then Charlie's golf course ... i hope he will do the writing and photo reporting .... right Charlie!?!?

I have a W.R. Long 4 n 1 bucket for mine, and the diverter with joystick button works very well. I'm not very expert with it, but it is certainly less clumsy than the knee lever. I found that the diverter helps more on the 4 n 1 than it does on the hoe. On the 4 n 1 I found the knee lever to be a real pain.
I think a regular solenoid valve plumbed in series with the lift/tilt circuit might be even better, since a rocker switch would open or close the bucket and some lift and tilt could go on simultaneously. On mine, the diverter inactivates the tilt circuit when opening or closing the bucket.
