What is a good price for a Howse 4 foot tiller. What other brands have you guys got and prices? I am thinking of getting one for my B26. Mom and Pop outfit a couple miles from me has a Howse setting out front of their business but not having priced them at any other place, I don't know if their prices is competitive or not.

I have a King Kutter 4ft tiller I bought from McGee Equipment which is just south of Jackson, MS. It was $1436 plus shipping. I found out that if you call them and talk to them about the shipping you can save a little money if you have a way of getting it off the back of the delivery truck yourself. I have a front end loader so I was able to go that option. If you have to have lift gate service delivery it cost more.

And look at CL. I just bought (this summer) a 5'KK gear in good condition (only used by a little old lady to drive to church on Sunday :) ) for $800.

I bought a LandPride RTA 1250 50 inch this spring for $1850 + tax. It was loaded on my truck at the dealership. Getting it off by myself with a boom pole was a bear because the tiller is so unwieldy. The price was no special deal. Good luck with your purchase. Tillers do a great job compared to walking behind one as I have for the past 35 years......in fact you may now till up more garden than you are really interested in.:D

BTW. Blocking the tiller in a stable position so a grandchild doesn't fool around and have it roll over on him was important for me.
