We finally got enough rain that I was able to use my new First Choice tiller. I got the 52" model, and I'm very pleased with it for many reasons. It did a great job, and it is the perfect size for my B2410, that is, just wide enough to cover my tracks. This made me think about box blades, it seems like the choices are either a little too small (4 foot wide, that's what I've got) or a little too big (5 foot). So how come no one makes a 4 1/2 foot model? I think it would be just right for tractors like mine.

Will,
Some people (depending on the future uses) have gone with a lighter duty 5' blade just so that it will cover the tire width.
Both International and LMC (Lowery Manufacturing) make a lighter weight unit. Now, I'll admit, it does NOT come close to the quality of a First Choice or Landpride model.
Just a thought

Will, LandPride does make a 54" box scraper in their lighter weight models. Look at http://www.landpride.com/lp/products/bb15_specs.html. I didn't get one because of the price, but did get a 5' KK at TSC this spring. I'm using it on a JD 4100 HST 4WD 20hp and it seems to work good for me. I paid $315 for it, as I recall.
