Anyone using Unverferth wheel hub extensions on their
3530 with 72D MMM?

I was told they have a 6" extension part number 1602-9B for $286

Just want to make sure there are no clearence issues with the MMM deck or wheel casters. Using 43x16.00-20 4PR R4 rears.

Have you checked out the wheel spacer or wheel extenders threads? When i was considering hub extenders, we had a good long discussion on them. A couple of people have them but I don't think they had an MMM. I do and I seem to remember that i probably could have used it with the extenders but i am not sure anymore.

Acolar:

I run unverferth 6" wheel extensions on my 3720 Cab with R3. In the Narrow
position (66" width, very wide) I have no clearance problems with the 72"MMM.
You WILL make an already pain in the butt deck even harder to install since
you'll be increasing the reach you need to get to the turnbuckles, etc. by 6" but
it'll work.

I no longer use my 72"MMM except for leaf collection. It was so much of a pain
in the butt I went with an 84" RFM. If I left it on all season it wouldn't be bad, but
I do tractor stuff other than mowing frequently and it's too much of a pain
to take on/off. Maybe the new auto-connect one is better. :)

I thought about one of them (72D OnRamp/Auto Connect MMM), but the price was too stiff and they advised me that it won't work with my turf special tires?

I looked closer at my machine and the right side rear tire would hit the 72D mmm wheel if I used 6" hib extenders.

Looks like the left side maybe ok.

I have the 43x16.00-20 R4 rears

Acolar,

What did you end up going with to widen your stance?

I wasn't originally in this 3 year old thread, but I was recently spacer shopping myself. I briefly considered the ones you're talking about, although in the 4" width. Price was ok, but they're steel. The weight and rust potential gave me pause, over 90 pounds including bolts. A little pricier, but I went with a one piece machined aluminum spacer from Motor-Sport. Lighter weight, no rust. I got a pair of 4" cuz I figgered 67.7" was wide enough for a 3720 cab with R4s. I say this because - if I went past 68.4" - I'd have exceeded the max rear track spec'd in the 3720 manual. Plus, I think the only fender extenders available are 4" as well.
