3pt won\'t lift

Hi I have a problem and I was hoping for some net wisdom. I went to use my B7200DT this morning and the 3pt will not lift at all. It worked fine yesterday brush hoging, and I did not change the 3pt dropping rate knob. The lever seems too loose with out the usual resistance to it but I could not see anything loose on the external linkage. The loader works so I know the hyd. pump is working. Anyone have any advice for me? I just got my new blades for my brush hog installed last night and now this.... :-(
Thanks,
Russ

Re: 3pt won\'t lift

RussH, I don't know if this will help or not, but when I had a B7100, one day the 3-point wouldn't raise; scared the heck out of me. But I found that wiggling the lever on the loader just a bit made the 3-point work again. It seems the loader valve wasn't completely closing or centering, but was so close I hadn't noticed it. That happened two or three times in the 4.5 years I had that tractor. I'd just wiggle the joystick a little bit to get it centered and the 3-point would work right again.

Re: 3pt won\'t lift

Russ,
On my B7100 I have a directional control valve located under the seat on the right hand side, does your B7200DT have one also?
If so check to see if the knob is wide open, for it doesn't take much to slow the flow of hydraulic fluid.
You could be little low on hydraulic fluid?

I to had the same problem and it was the knob.

I would be most interested in your out come.

Take care Russ and good luck.

Re: 3pt won\'t lift

Well the B7200 has position control unlike the B7100s. I did not move the knob under the seat but I will check it. I also checked the fluid level and it was okay (and the loader works). Thanks fot the suggustions I will be working on it tonight.

Re: 3pt won\'t lift

I will try that and see if that works. I did lift the loader, but did not wiggle it to see if it was centered. It almost feels like the internal linkage fell off. The lever (B7200s has Position control btw) moves up and down with no resistance at all. No sign of any problem up until this morning either... Thanks for the suggestion, I will keep trying.

Re: 3pt won\'t lift

Unfortunately, that does not sound like it's going to be the same problem I had with the B7100.

Re: 3pt won\'t lift

Russ, I had a very similar problem a few weeks ago on my old yanmar 276...3 pt never every gave me a problem...put it away at night in working order, next morning, 3pt wouldn't budge an inch...after removing the belly mower (which isn't easy on that tractor, checking the fluids, checking for something stuck somewhere, I tried to drop control under my seat...apparently (I think) one of my kids must have gave it a whirl, because after I adjusted it back and forth a bit, everthing worked fine again...keeping my fingers crossed that that is all it was and not a sign of future problems...good luck with yours.

Re: 3pt won\'t lift

Your havin this problem becasue you bought orange, there pieces of junk, you shouold have bought New Holland BLUE instead. That never happens with BLUE. They make them in the USA instead of China. Thats just my opinion, bvut its right. BLUE is best, then green and not orange ever. I have never tryed a kubota and never will. Kubotahater

Re: 3pt won\'t lift

Kubotahater,

Now that you have that off your mind do you really feel any better? I'm not really sure if you could've screwed up your facts anymore if you tried! Joking around is one thing, but if you can't add anything helpful...silence is probably YOUR best option.

Re: 3pt won\'t lift.....Jim

All he or she (Kubotahater) really shown was ignorance also lack of respect.
How does that old saying go?
Lack of a education can only breed different forms of ignorance.

Did I detect some of your wisdom of being a teacher for so many years to the responds in which you wrote?)

Hope you have a pleasant weekend and be good to yourself !!
