Hi. It's been a bit since my last post. --Good to see things are still going stong on here ;)

I tried to adjust the rate at which my rear implements drop with the knob on my BX 2200. To my surprise, it is stuck and it feels like it's going to break if I try to muscle it anymore. Does anybody know what might be the cause?...or has anybody experienced the same problem. Kubota calls it the "3-point hitch lowering speed knob".

Thanks, Jim

All the moveable stuff under the seat on mine has a problem with fine sand getting all over it and jamming things up, I was about to haul mine to the dealer because I could not move the hi-low selector to neutral.

I had to bypass the lockout switch so I could start it. I washed it out and sprayed WD-40 on every thing in the area, I had been over to the church cleaning up leaves for the kids playground and it was very sandy.

Now every time I use it around sandy areas I wash it out real good, No more problems.

Good Luck.

Mine is hard to move, and the thought has crossed my mind that I'm going to break it... it frees up a little if I work it back and forth...

Thanks. I'll check that out. The problem is the handle is not only hard to turn it is [censored] near impossible! I can't imagine it's just dirt. It's like it frozen after sitting out in the rain for 15 years.

I had the same problem on my BX2200. Took it the dealer this weekend and they took a pair of pliers and worked the lever back and forth until it broke free. Then they sprayed it with WD-40. It looks like the threads get full of crap with use so I would suggest turning the knob occasionally and when you give the bota a bath just zap the end with some WD-40.

My L3000DT was like that out of the box. The dealer sent a tech out to fix it. I don't know what they did but the problem has not come back knob turns fine now.

The "Drop/Lock Valve" on my John Deere 2032R was stuck just like others here. I was unable to turn the knob in either direction and I did not want to force it to the point of breaking something. The manual indicated that clockwise would decrease the rate of drop, so based on the fact that the rear attachments fell rapidly when the "Rockshaft Control Lever" was moved to the down position, I concluded that the drop/lock valve was frozen in the full counter-clockwise position. That gave me some assurance that if I forced the knob rotation, the way to go was in the clockwise direction (which would decrease the drop rate). Using the tiny tube on my penetrating oil, I doused the base of the drop/lock valve and let it sit. After some manipulation, I was then able to close the valve (clockwise) and the valve seems to operate properly now. I can adjust the rate of drop of the rear implement.

You might want to check with MB in Gorham. The sales folks there are quite knowledgeable and might give you some ideas to pursue.
