It really depends on what you are thinking about using it for. I know the lift capacity is limited.

Do you already have the tractor now? Or are you buying one and interested in that option?

I have the same question along with how much would the 3 point hitch cost and could I install it myself. I have a X595 and I'm mainly looking for some type of carry all that I could move stuff around with. I also might consider a box blade in the future. I ordered the 60" grader blade to level some dirt after having a pool installed but by the time the blade had come in, the dirt which is clay had settled and I couldn't do much with it. A box blade would probably have done what I wanted to do. Lesson learned. I do have to say that the X595 is a great tractor.

I also have a X595, and put a 3pt on it when I bought it several years ago. I use it very infrequently. It was expensive. And I couldn't justify the rear pto to go along with the 3ph to enable attachments like a cultivator. So any app's to use the 3ph is limited to smallish blades, smallish box scrapers, smallish landscape rakes -- all of which are embarrassingly expensive if you buy from the JD line. And they're rather light, which compromises their usefulness.
Thank god I also have a JD4700 to take on the serious work.
The 595 is great for mowing on slopes though, which is my primary need.
