3pt broadcast seeder that can be run from cab.

I’m looking for a ‘not too big not too expensive’ broadcast seeder which can be run from inside a cab.

I’m torn between ‘going bigger’ for fertilizer as well vs staying small and just using it for over seeding.

I also have a Kubota UTV and I’ve thought about just sticking with it and getting something like a Herd.

Just want to be able to control the spread a bit as well as close the gate to stop the drop.

Nothing fancy… but it either needs to be from within a 62120M cab… or ran well from UTV.

Some of the older Vicon spreaders (1990s era) had a hydraulic hose/cylinder to open the gate rather than a lever.

My older Vicon has the lever making using a cab tractor awkward, I run it on open station.

I have a 3 point spreader that I have yet to use on my cab tractor. In the same boat as far as activating the gate. I am thinking either to wire a 12v linear actuator, or attaching a long steel rod or 3/4" schedule 40 PVC pipe to the existing handle and run it up to the cab.

I have a herd seeder and went to the auto parts store and purchased this truck PTO cable. It works fine to adjust on the fly and shut it off completely if need be. I just open the rear window and put it in the cab, close window.

I'm repairing my Herd 3-pt 160 seeder now, I almost have it all repaired. It was a casualty of when the storm blew down 2 big walnut trees onto my pole barn.
After everything is repaired and functioning properly, I'll disassemble it again for sanding and repainting.
DW said, why don't you just buy a new one? When I told her a replacement is $850, she understood.

Not sure how big you were looking, but I have a heard 2440 with hydraulic gate control. Holds a ton of fertilizer! Literally. it’s a sweet machine.
