new member, researching problem encountered today.
replaced seat cushions today by taking the seat off with the two seat frame bolts. Discovered that the rear bolt also serves as a pin that went into the top of the draft spring shaft housing. Put that pin back in while seat was off and was extra careful to not move anything while the seat was off. got cushions replaced and put seat back on. went to use and discovered that the draft (inside) lever was stuck.
The tractor has been barn/shed kelp since new until this year. has been outside past 2/3 months. noticed a couple times it seemed stiff but freed up when using. Today it was stuck to point that the adjustment linkage broke. Was worried that something related to the pin bolt contributed BUT, from what little I've found here so far, it appears there is a shaft within a shaft that rust's/gaul's up over time. is this correct and is it a major dis-assembly or just something to take time and layout in order sequence and clean up. OR is it in fact something related to the pin bolt in the top of the housing???
