All, I have a 3910 that has a rear axle seal leaking and I am getting ready to change the rear fluid and would like to fix it before I change the fluid. I am fairly mechanical and feel confident I can remove the left hand hub from the rear differential but watching videos I don't want to tackle braking the axle down to change the seal. My thought was to take it to a local shop and let them change the seal and I reinstall the hub back into the differential. Any thoughts on how complicated braking the hub down to the shaft to replace seal? Should I change the brakes if I am in there? I will post some pictures later. 20210121_103809.jpg20210121_103801.jpg

If you send me your email I will send you the service shop manual for this machine and it will make the job much easier. That job won't be the easiest task if you have to remove the ROPS and the brake drum/axle housing will not be a light piece either and will likely require and engine hoist. If you are taking the time and going that far to do one side that is currently leaking then you should also do the other side.
