turbo,

That is beautiful! :) If, and I say that tongue in cheek, I had to pick the ultimate snow gobbling set up, that is the one I would choose!

Keep your snow to yourselves!

Turbo, great pics. I do have one question. Thats the first shots I've seen of the new front hitch. How is the lift cylinder set up for the blower?

Turbo,

If you haven't already checked make sure that power steering hoses are not rubbing against the front PTO shaft. I had to tie mine back.

This new A-frame mount does not seem to have a float option allowing the blower to follow the ground contour. If I put too much down force on the blower the front wheels loose traction & steering becomes less effective.

That should be a function of the DSCV, not the hitch design? Unless I am missing something:confused:

The lift cylinder is mounted on the right side , it is tucked up in the hitch frame so it is hard to see. If you follow the right arm back toward the tractor just before the frame you can see the cylinder rod end trunnion. The hoses run behind the hood so they are hard to see also.

I will check the hoses next time I'm up to the property.
The float seems to work fine on mine; just push the lever all the way forward ( past the detent) and it is in float. On my other Deeres float was forward and more to the right. On this tractor it is almost straight forward so it took a little time to get used to it.

Thanks,

I didn't realize that there was a detent at the extreme forward position of the dscv allowing the blower to float.

I've been constantly making minor adjustments to the blower height as I clean our gravel drive & wondering why JD didn't design it to float.

I have the same set up. You can pull the two pins on the forward frame an use bolts in the top holes instead of the pins. This will give you even more float. It shows you this option in the blower manual.

The Dealer installed it, the pitch is controlled by the 3rd scv lever.

This is a couple of more pictures that show the cylinder and the hose routing
