I only have the 366 Blade - not sure how the broom is powered - suspect via mid pto.

Now you worry me about the traction as I have R4's also. I have not yet plowed any snow since I purchased the machine in the spring.

Anyone else comment on the lack of traction Matt talked about..

I have the rear ballast box - would prefer not to use chains or loaded tires...

Hoses to the angle cylinders run down the right side of the frame over the axle to the quick disconnects at the right side of the cab. They are not retained via any hose loops and I used some tie straps to keep them away from moving parts. The loft cylinder hoses are positively secured to the frame or engine block as i recall.

The mid-PTO powers either the sweeper or the MMM.

I have a steep long drive, my r4's are loaded and I've plowed with my 448 hoe on the rear. The R4's don't deal well with ice, I've plowed a few lots and had the most sucess when the snow was deep and hard. The fel mount is no where near as good as your setup but if snow plowing was a major concern for me I'd get turf tires or chains. I looked into chains but have newly paved drive and don't want any damage. The bars on the treads just don't get enough traction for my situation.

I have finally learned my lesson about using turfs without chains in the snow. We had heavy snow and I almost got stuck 5 times last night, and it was tough going up the hill. Unit was sliding a bit easier than it had in the past too:eek:. I gonna get a set of chains and install them for the next snow, especially the heavy ones.

hi acolar, great setup on your 3520. i have a 4410 with fel, mmm, and 74 full frame front blade. works great but with the 74 blade i have about a two hour job both spring and fall to change over. once the blade is on i cant use the fel. your setup with the 366 blade looks a lot better. if i would move up to the 3000x20 series i would want the cab model. what is the exact height of your tractor. i would have to be able to fit it in my garage. also how is the ride-on auto hookup mmm? any problems? thanks in advance, bud

bud4410, i have Turf specials on my unit and the cab height is 89" So if you have a garage with a 90" or greater height opening, you will be fine. My tires are 41x18LLx16.1 on the rear.

Hi Bud - I agoniozed over the cab height also before the purchase. My garage door opening is 92"
The tractor has R4s with 43x16.00-20 rears and 27x8.50-15 fronts. The cab height is 89 - 9/16"
Your dealer should be able to provide the proper height number for you.
I like the drive on MMM, quick changes. Never had anything before to compare it to. Good luck.

Hi Acolar, was wondering how you like your poly edge blade? Does it scrape clean?
I just ordered one from Fall Line for my new 366 blade. There doesn't seem to be a good
way of storing the hyd. hoses when the front quick hitch is not being used.

I like the poly. We have black top driveways in the sub and the poly appears to be much gentler on the surface than the steel edge would have been. If cars do not drive on the snow prior to plowing it cleans well. Not sure about the hoses - they are attached to the plow so when it gets removed the hoses go with it...
As an added benefit the Poly is almost JD Yellow.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I tried a rubber edge on my back blade, but with no down pressure, it doesn't scrape
very well. I'm hoping this works better. When you take the plow off for the summer, two hoses come off with the plow, but the other two hoses will stay on the tractor with the cylinder and the rest of the front quick hitch.

After the cars drive over the snow what do you do??:D

Egon - just a minor inconvienence. Have got more important things to worry about - Like where the next hockey game is. With four boys playing hockey we are always on the go. The 3520 with the poly does a good job, a little solar energy on the backtop and the remaining snow from car tire pack down is gone.
