I've been getting frustrated chasing the windrows left behind by using my FEL to remove the massive amounts snow we gotten. I've also have been low on cash and buying a $1000 plow is about as realistic importing an army of oompa loompas.
A little background, I have a 1/4 mile long gravel driveway and a BX25.
I tried it out and it works great. If I could change it I would've made the wing side shorter because when you fill it up with heavy snow it has a tendency to pull the tractor that way.

Just think what you could have done with $48 and 4 beers!!!!

Kidding aside, I love solutions like this-sometimes my quick fixes to get by end up working so well that they end up as permanent fixes. If it ain't broke, don't fix it?

Thanks for sharing this with us.

Lol, you're not far off. If I had access to my brake I might've covered it in aluminum.

Does it need that lip at the bottom? And the curve at the top is just showing off. The more I stare at this the less hacked together it appears. Nicely done.

Nicely done, I like it!

If we ever get snow in my 'neck of the woods' I'll have to remember this thread.

I agree, not a hack job.

Really good!

Does the plow float, in any way?

That extra $12 could bought some orange paint. You could have told your friends and neighbors that you machined it from 1 1/2" plate. ;-)

Thanks, it does float because of the 2x4 used as the cutting edge and 3 layers of 2x4's back to the bucket.

Lol.

If you get the chance to video it, it would be cool to see it in action.
