Long story short, I’ve been having some fuel problems with this tractor. I replaced the entire fuel filter assembly, including the head as it would not prime at all. Problem is, someone else took it apart and I am not sure where the crush washers go on the banjo bolts...between the bolt head and fitting, between the fitting and filter housing, both?
Thanks!

Typically the bronze washers are on both sides of a banjo fitting.

Both sides of the banjo should have washers. If it still will not prime you may have bad fuel line and be sucking air.

Getting debris stuck at the bottom of the fuel tank where the fuel line attaches is a common cause for lack of fuel.

Thanks for the info and advice!

It primed fine after I replaced the housing and I started and ran it for 15/20 minutes. It ran great.
Now, a week later and the first time I go to use it, it ran good for 5 minutes before starving.
I’ll get some new crush washers and see if that cures the problem.

Anybody know the size off hand? I’d like to stop and pick them up on the way home.

Not knowing what kind of assembly you replaced the original with?? I would simply take acouple of the old washers with you..
Personally, I would take the BOLT.. and the washers.. the outside might look right but the inside bolt area might be to small??
Most everything now a days is metric..

Finally found the problem.
Tractor was starving for fuel and wouldn’t prime even after changing the filter & filter head and blowing out the fuel line to the tank.
It was a clog inside the banjo bolt. IMG_0369.jpg
Hope this helps someone else.

I致e no idea where it came from. Looks like chaff from mowing. I知 going to drain the tank this winter.
