3520 cab, panel flashing , won't start

It was extremely humid last night, and we had a pretty intense series of thunderstorms roll through. I went out to start the 3520 and I get nothing but the entire indicator panel flashing like emergency blinkers. It won't turn over. Could moisture have shorted out the panel circuits. There's power because of the flashing, but nothing else seems to work.

Sorry to keep coming back to the board with problems.

Yes, I would check the battery connections as well as the battery. Electronics may be unpredictable with low voltage -- not enough juice to start.

Sounds like exactly what mine did when the battery failed - a dead cell. Wouldn't even try to turn over when key was turned, and all the panel lights just flashed on and off rapidly.

Make sure the pto isn't engaged- the dash will light up(not sure about flashing), but it won't start

Gentlemen,

Thank you very much. I replaced the battery with a Deere Stong Box ($100 with tax) and it started right up.

I thought lightening had fried the electronics, but it seems the battery was toasted.

Next time buy an Interstate...cheaper and will last longer...

Paul, do you have model numbers for the Interstate batteries. I know there is a thread for Optima ongoin but I would alo like to examine the Interstate brand.

Nope...I've got an Interstate Outlet in town and they do all the work...I just tell them the tractor or I bring in the old battery and they magically give me one that fits and works and works and works...
