Well, I got the manual today. It has nothing about R&R the fuel tank so that I can replace the fuel sensor. It just says to replace it if it fails the prescribed tests. I guess I will be forging new territory to get my fuel gauge working again.

Call your local dealer and ask them for the instructions on how to do this - there is probably a procedure that comes with the replacement part.
