3510 R4 Front Tire Size

Need new front tires for my 4wd 3510 (non i). The tires on it are 28/8.50x15. After some searching is looks as though these are bastard tires. Called the dealer and they don't even show a PN for these. Can I use 27/8.50x15 instead? Will this cause any issues with the drive train?

You should stay with the 28/8.50x15, and they are available. All the 3510's used them and there is no problem ordering them. No doubt the 27" is more popular. If your dealer can't get them, he isn't really trying.

Haven't been real happy with my dealers knowledge. I did find the 28s at a tire dealer for $230 each installed. The China 27s are around $210 a pair. I may try a tube to get just a little more use out of it. They are dry rotted. The rears are just fine though.

For sure, use tubes. It's not like you are driving 60 mph down the road and need to worry about heat build-up. Just keep an eye on them if you use the loader hard, a blow-out at the wrong time could be a problem.

Tires are sure getting expensive. If you were closer I'd sell you 4 new tires attached to a new tractor and you would be good to go!
