The right rear axle on my 345 appears to have slid out approximately 1/2". Has anyone else had the problem? What is the fix?

:welcome: to TBN

Need to determine if a keeper came off inside the transaxle, or if the snap ring came off at the outside end of the axle. Hope it is the latter. Pull off the plastic cap on the axle and see if the snap ring is still intact. If not, nothing there to hold the wheel/hub onto the axle, IIRC.

Thanks for the reply. The snap ring is on axle under the plastic cap. So problem must be internal. Is that a DYI job.

I've not done it, but certainly would give it a shot.. depending on time and having another mower to keep up with lawn.
Look up parts available, as likely would need at liquid gasket to put the tranny back together.

But might look for more confirmation that the problem is really inside the tranny.
