A 3520 for 3 acres ... now I understand your signature. :) How did you convince your wife on that deal? Did you get the 3520 for your current property or in anticipation of more acreage?

Mediocre minds must think alike, that is exactly how I talked her into getting it. On the 3 acres I currently live, the back acre was an overgrown thicket. I reasoned with her that I could use the new tractor to clean it up, improving the value of our lot. Then when we move it would be a "necessary" tool. She agreed, thats (part of the reason)why I love my wife. Shes the type that likes tractors and guns.

Who doesn't? I wonder if there is anyone out there with a gun rack or holster on their tractor? Now that would be the perfect marriage. Feel free to post some pictures if anyone has this combo.

so what do these "larger or new" R4s look like, anyone have pictures? ive seen lots in person but assumed all were the same.

I know that the R4s on the 2520 definitly look differnt or flatter than the R4s on say the 3520 ive seen recently, are there different R4s depending on tractor size?

I am positive I have everyone beat on tractor over kill. I recently bought a 3320 and curently own 0 land. Where I currently live, I mantain about 8 acres and care for the owners horses. I use his kubota on this property. I currently keep my tractor at my parents house, where they have 4 acres for me to play on.

I am currently looking to purchuse a home on 10 acres and if everything goes well I will have my own land to play on. As you may have guessed I am single and spend my money how I wish.

So add me to this club as well I guess. 3320 and 6.05 acres. I would not at all like to go smaller however - 5' snow drifts in the winter, 200' gravel lane, pond, small alfalfa field that I am flatening, and all kinds of angles while mowing. I really would not want anything else. I also have a smaller simplicity 4041 powermax tractor that also helps mow the pond. In fact some days I question why I did not buy a 4X20 and then I remember that I could barely afford/justify the 3320 and I am happy again. Now I just need to talk myself out of the MX6 a local dealer has for sale. I know the 3320 says MX5 but I bet the MX6 will work just fine on that back field.
