I have a 3320 and the hood, fenders, etc. are all made of plastic. I want to shine it up. The manual only says to use a non-abrasive polish. Does anyone have a particular brand that works well for them? I am afraid of marring the surface with small scratches if I do not use the proper product.

I've had good luck using Maguieres Cleaner/Wax. They should still be painted even though they are made of plastic.

The first time I washed my 2320, the paint had picked up bits of dirt that I couldn't just wash off. Even though the paint looked clean and mostly shiny, I could feel it when I ran my hand across it. There is stuff on the market called "detailing clay" that removes this embedded dirt. It's amazing stuff! It's basically a big hunk of clay that you rub over the painted surface with water and it magically picks out all the bits of dirt that hand washing does not remove. You should be able to get some at your local auto parts store.

Just spray it off every couple of months and keep it stored out of the sun. No sense in treating in like a show car unless you don't plan on using it like a tractor...;)

Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish

Spray it on with th etractor dry and wipe in/off.

WORKS Awesome.

I do it a couple times a year but most of the time I just grab the gas blower and get most of the dust off.

The John Deere plastic loves "Pledge Furniture Polish". Look around the house your wife probably has some. She will not be to happy, but after all the tractor must be maintained. I wash the unit and when dry apply the pledge and wipe/buff to a high gloss. Automotive wax with a cleaner will damage the finish. It will look like somone used steel wool on it when viewed at the right light angle.

You can do a very nice job using carauba wax; there are several brands. I use one produced in Wisconsin, but cannot recall the name of it. This is a natural, non-abrasive wax that goes on very easily and is very durable. You can using pick up a good-sized tin for under $5.00. I do a seasonal application in spring and fall. You will be quite pleased with the results.

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but my tractor cost more than the only car I've bought new. Yes, it's a tractor and gets used like one but there's nothing wrong with wanting to keep it looking good. :)

No problem with a clean tractor but somewhere it turns into ACD. :D

If you keep it dirty or run it through a Honey Locust patch you'll never have to worry about it again.
