None - Looking
Hi everyone great information here, it's been very helpful. Looking for any feedback you might be kind enough to offer. I'm sold on Deere because the dealer is close and has been pretty helpful so far, I don't like the pedals on the Bota's, and my wife loves JD because her Grandpa did. I'm also in the habit of tading up evrey 4-5 years so the easier/higher resale on JD is attractive.

I live on 4 acres. Mostly flat, wet most of the year, glacial till - lots of rocks, no snow to speak of, much of it is covered in brush and trees. I plan to use a dedicated mower and rent a backhoe when I need one. I plan to use the tractor for
1) Loader work, dirt, gravel, sand, move rock piles, etc.
2) Aid in clearing brush, small stump removal, and leveling ground.
3) PTO work (tilling, landscape rake, box blade, rotary or flail mower, auger, chipper)

I was considering the 2520 but have convinced myself that though it will likely do almost everything I need, I'll have it for about two hours before I want something bigger. I'm now going back and forth between the 3320 and 3032E.

My only concerns on the 3320 are price and the possibility that it's overkill for the jobs I'll be doing. The 3032E is staring to seem like a decent mid range option. I don't know that I would ever take the loader off and I don't have to have the off-seat PTO (I'm aware of the alternative solutions to that problem). The loader capacity is probably fine for what I need. I can afford either but I don't want to spend an extra $4400 if I don't need to. I don't need mid PTO and I doubt ever add a BH.

So my questions are
1) What do you think of the 3032E as a fit for my needs?
2) What would I be giving up with 3032E compared to the 3320? I know the E stands for economy so you lose some creature comforts, and I know about the loader capacity and weight difference of the machines, what else is different? I read somewhere the hood is composite on the 3032E and steel on the 3320 is that accurate?
3) I'll add that my wife and I have three young children and we both work full time. I have to maximize my upcoming seat time.

Pricing I'm getting right now is as follows.
3320 $ 17,225
300CX $ 4,875 (rim protect filled tires and welded bucket hooks)
Ballast Box $ 256
iMatch $ 287
Rear Work Light $ 85
Total (w/o Tax) $ 22,726

3032E $ 13,515
305 CP $ 4,032 (rim protect filled tires and welded bucket hooks)
Ballast Box $ 256
iMatch $ 287
Rear Work Light $ 85
Rear Draw bar Kit $ 164
Total (w/o Tax) $ 18,339

I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions you can share.

When It comes down to it, i have used a 3032E and a 3720 (larger engine over the 3320) and really prefer the 3720 over the 3E. Why? It isn't just creature comforts, the 3320 has Ehydro which is a smooth transition between speeds both forward and reverse. The 3032E is just standard hydro, at low throttle if you push the pedal in high gear it makes a grinding?screeching noise so it has to be throttled up to reduce this factor. The 3320 has a 3 speed transmission with high, medium, and low gear giving you a wider range of choices for use in different applications. Low has great torque, great for digging and it gets maximum power to the ground. Medium range is a cross between your high and low gear offering decent power and some speed for short traveling distances. The medium gear is very similar to the low gear on the 3E tractors. High gear on the 3320 I'm pretty sure offers greater traveling speeds, i have got the 3720 up to 16 mph on pavement before, the 3032E goes about 8-10 mph. The 3320 has a dedicated differential lock pedal on the left side while the 3E tractors have the differential lock and brake pedal combined making it a little more challenging if you want to use the brakes as the differential will lock first. The 3032E has the fuel gauge up on the hood, nice when filling up with a diesel can as you can see how much is in the tank but not as convenient as the dash mount gauge on the 3320. The 3320 has a engine temperature gauge on the dash, the 3032E has a dummy light. The 3320 has a tilt steering wheel, the 3032E is a fixed position steering wheel. With both tractors, they both have plastic hoods and fenders so no difference there. Although, the 3320 has a one piece hood, no need to remove side panels for servicing while the 3032E does but they are fairly easy to remove and the hod does not raise quite as far. The 3032E has a lower center of gravity, the 3320 is tippy on hills unless the rear wheels are reversed, it sits under 5' wide in stock position. The 3320 has fold-able ROPS, the 3032E has fixed ROPS. The 3320 has a convenient location for the loader controls, the 3E tractors require you to reach forward to operate the FEL. Both tractors have position control on the 3 point hitch, a plus for mowing, tilling, and box blading. They both are great tractors, Either one will do what you need it to do, the 3320 will have a greater resale value over the 3032E due to its features and comforts.

I'll add one more thing:
The 3320 has off-seat PTO operation (for your chipper). The 3032E does not (unless you want to disable the safety switch or put a weight on the seat when you're chipping).
Work-arounds might be OK for you...not for me.

Thanks for the comments. I'm leaning towards the 3320 as I think I'll be happier in the long run. How does the pricing/quotes I listed compare with what's out there?

Depends on the options included in the above quotes. Go to the Deere site and "Build Your Own" with the options. That will give you MSRP and then you can calculate the discount being applied. 15% + or - depending on location should be achievable..

Have you considered a used 3x20 series? You may be able to get a very good deal with a few attachments for a similar or lower price. Also the larger unit is probably not going to be overkill or seem like it until you finish your tasks. Extra power is always good power.

I looked at both the 3032 and 3120. I bought a used 3120 in January and love it for the most of the reasons already noted. It seems to be a heavier, well built rig with great features. The 3032 just seemed alot less machine in size, weight and features. I bought a clean used 3120 and I think the resale value in several years will be better than a 1 year newer 3032 too.

First, the price quote on the 3320 is very good.
Second, I would choose the 3320 also ( and I did recently) for all of the reasons noted. The tractor is slightly bigger and will be more comfortable both to sit on and in ride qualtity. The loader and 3pt hitch have greater capacity. Overall, a much better tractor for not a lot more money. I also think the 3320 will have better down the line resale value as well. Yes I realize the 3032e is a hydrostat and the base 3320 is a power shuttle. I have a Kioti CK27 HST and the 3320 PS and I don't think the power shuttle is giving up much. You get the eHydro for $1000 ( list) more.
