330 polaris trail boss

I put a carb rebuild kit in and sputters and stalls but if I partly cover the intake it runs good like its starving for fuel the kit had jets and everything it was from moose. does anybody have any Ideas? thanks in advance

sounds like you need to richen up the fuel mixture. you are choking the machine by reducing the air flow thru the carb with the covering by hand. do the same thing with the adjusting screws. Get it to run well then get it to idle. Did you screw everything down and count the number of turns to bottom them out before tearing the carb apart? This would give you a good starting point.
