3204 Has speed issues

Hi all,
Looking for some help. My 3204 will now only run at half speed in forward and barely creeps in reverse. I have taken off the rear seat and fenders for access. Jacking up the rear end and moving the linkage on the rear end I can make it spin at full speed in both forward and reverse. However using the pedals I have issues. I have looked at everything I can see underneath and adjusted the linkage I could, but that only moved the pedal height. Any ideas what I am missing here? Thanks for the help!

Have you checked to see that your hydraulic fluid level is correct? If its low, you may have this issue.

As well, I once had the same problem you have, just this year for my first drive with the older tractor. I discovered that the parking brake was on. If your parking brake system has a disc brake and the parking brake is on, the tractor is having trouble overcoming the extra drag.

I would check the pedal linkage carefully for any wear or play in the pivots. The Forward and Reverse pedals interact so when it's adjusted to increase the forward speed, the reverse speed will drop and vice versa. I had a 3235 and adjusted the linkage to the minimum reverse speed that I could tolerate to get the maximum forward speed. I have an old post where I show a bracket I attached to the reverse pedal to give a little more pedal travel, resulting in an increase in speed.
