Tractor
John Deere 320
Started the process of putting the 320 back together and get it running. Ran into a few minor issues today and figured I'd asked before taking next steps.

1- is the oil drain plug teed off the bottom of the dipstick? I know this sounds silly, but mine is so tight that I'm afraid I'm going to break the tube trying to get it loose. I've been soaking it in PB Blaster for 3 days and nothing. I can't find what looks like a drain anywhere else and that looks like it would be, but it's really stuck.

2- this machine ran unto the trailer. I took the battery off to clean up the terminals and charge the battery. Now it won't start. Are there any other safety switches on this tractor besides the seat and brake? I have the hood off right now while I'm repainting it. I don't even get the battery light to come on. I also hooked up my booster pack to it and still get nothing

So I found the engine drawing online. Of course that was the oil drain plug. So any ideas for best removing an extremely stuck oil drain bolt? Ive been soaking it for several days and still nothing. I'm afraid of putting too much leverage on it, and heat is out of the question

Hi Gumby,
We used a cordless 1/4" impact gun on my neighbors Toro. It was enough to remove a really stuck drain plug without tearing everything up.

As a plan B you could consider using one of those hand pump oil extraction systems or pick up the air powered version at HF.
