320 hood removal?

Can someone explain the best way to remove the hood on a 320 so that I can remove it properly and not damage it. I see that there is a cotter pin on each side so I assume they are to be removed and then how do I proceed?

the pins I am talking about are #33 on the diagram. No, there is no damage to the hood now, it is in excellent shape and I hope to keep it that way.

In Beenthere's photo of the hood parts, look at item #29. It appears that all you have to do is disconnect any head light wires there maybe and then with the hood tipped forward as far it will go, just lift the hood off of the item #29 on each side of the frame.
