Hi all, new to this forum, and tried serach option, but couldn't find an answer. I have just finished replacing the hydro pump and differential in my '90 model 318. Everything seemed fine...in the garage. I went out to mow and the right rear axle slid out about 1" or so causing the trat not to move. I discovered this after loading on my trainler and taking back to the garage. What did I miss? I re-used the old axle housings and removed them as a unit from each side when I replaced the power train. Any help is appreciated...

For those who read this and might be interested, the problem was the rear axle bearing.... completely trashed. I recovered 4 of the roller balls from the axle housing, no other damage, now back together and good as new!!!
