3054 FEL frame ?

First I'd like to thank this site for finding me a tractor. A 3054 w/ FEL&Hoe (thanks kevin). Not pretty but very funtional. Thanks also to Jon for all his help so far. My question, on the loader frame mounting brackets, there are a couple stripped ones. I was planning on grinding the threaded blocks off and welding on new ones. Does anyone have any other ideas or tricks? Also, would a 84" finish mower be to big?
