Can/how could I run a front mount brush cutter on my 3038h. I have a WR LONG 3rd function set up on it now to operate a grapple. Only 3/8 hoses though. No rear remotes.

Your tractor's hydraulic pump flow rate at 11.9 gpm gross won't come anywhere near what's needed to operate the mower. If you pick up a pto pump like a prince HC-PTO-1A, that'll put out 21 gpm which should get you into lower skid steer territory. Mower would operate when you switch on the pto. Then you would run separate lines to the back (use quick connects and caps unless you won't use pto for anything but mowing), get a torque arm for the pump, and fab up a platform to hold the reservoir & filter & you'll be on your way. BUT, swapping out the pump/platform/reservoir will be one more job when switching to another PTO implement.

OP, ok, just happen to have a pto pump that ran a 3point backhoe. Have to find out what the flow rate was on it. A sufficient tank would be another question.

Your tank should be at least equal to the flow. Also, check your brush cutter for required flow. I think that your standard is 16 - 25 gpm, but varies with model/manufacturer. So, at least a 20 gal tank?

Even if you are able to secure some type of high flow hydraulic system I think a brush cutter would create a great amount of stress on your loader. Not only with the weight of the cutter but the actual operation due to the violent nature when shredding. I would be concerned about the loader arms not being able to withstand the shock.

I have seen videos of rear 3pt shredders that appear to work well.

Running a hydraulic motor also generates alot of heat so an oil cooler is usually needed. Front attachments like this are normally used on skid steer loaders or large farm tractors that have high flow auxiliary hydraulics and a large oil cooler.

Just purchased a Lane Shark 2 weeks ago. If that fits the bill, the smaller LS3 only requires 5gpm. I'm at 8.2 for implements minus whatever restrictions are out to the WR Long 3rd function through the 3/8 hoses just like you have. We used it several hours last weekend, and never saw a slowdown. We did have the C-Flow kit installed, which returns the fluid directly back to the sump instead of flowing back through the 3rd function valve, so that reduces the heat back into the valve.
I hit the couplings and the valve with an IR Laser after using it and nothing was above 180f.

If that little LS3 is big enough for you, it might be a good solution.

This shows it folded out on edge, but it can also be used folded straight on
