3038H and 3 rd function valve placement

Been studying the placement layout for the electric solenoid and block on subject tractor. In looking at lots of threads and utube vids, just can't find a suitable location for these parts that equate to about the size of two bricks with all the wires and hoses attached. About the only place with room is on the inside of the FEL bracket, but that is 1/2" plate and would have to take the loader off to drill and tap a mourning plate, which I really don't want to do. So on a LS 30XX, has anyone done this, and where did you hang it?

I took the loader off and drilled and tapped it isn't hard at all on and off with the loader is like 10 min max, but then again I take mine off all of the time because I don't like it on when I don't need it.

Just want to be sure what we are talking about here. When you say 3rd function, are you talking about a 3rd function diverter as shown in 580s pictures, or are you talking about a true 3rd function where the valve gets plumbed into the power beyond circuit and the valve HAS to stay with the tractor?

In my opinion, the best mounting location for the diverter type is on the loader tower between the loader and the hood. That is as long as everything will fit. That is where I have it on my Mahindra 3215.

I didnt have room for mine on the loader tower, so I chose the next best spot. I have 2 extra hoses to disconnect if I pull the loader off, but its not that bad.

I was able to cut and have the local shop put new ends on the existing hoses using the method/placement I took. It worked out quite well for me.

My biggest hang up is the control button setup. I love the comfort of the stock joystick, so I have been apprehensive about getting one with the button built in.

I do plan to at some point, put a 'toggle override' on the control though. I want to make it so I can turn the valve on, and have it stay on (for using the snow plow for instance). Possibly even making it so the toggle reverses the function of the button.... (making it so in 'snow plow mode' you could hit the button to switch back to normal curl function)

I think that if you just go with a maintained button switch you will have what you want. Not a big deal to do. In fact I believe that I have them in stock.

A true 3rdfunction valve. The only place that seems like it will work will be to add a plate between the "valve bracket-bottom" and the FEL top hinge. No room under the deck as block takes up space, and not a firm place around the hood like in pics above. Just not much space between the FEL and hood.
