Finally came up with a cheap, easy solution for tool storage. Hung a discarded day pack/book bag on the rear light fixture by crisscrossing the shoulder straps. Lots of room, easy access, and the small exterior pockets are handy for little odds-and-ends. Thought I'd also show off my carryall patterned after many ideas here on TBN.

Very nicely done! I can imagine it would be very handy, all of the sudden there is a tree down while you're out tractoring, just grab the chain saw and cut it into rounds. Through the rounds in the bucket and your off.

Looks like you confront a mishmash of tasks, and remain fully equipped. I am working on a few storage doo-dads for my 3038E - mainly a chain box and a machete scabbard. My spread is 120 acres, but the shop is dead center so I can get back for chain saw or other implements within a few minutes.

But you have indeed a real tote there that makes you truly independent.

That 2x8 across the back can be removed and placed horizontally on a couple cleats (not visible) for Bob to sit on when he comes to visit AND help out around here. That's the rule on this half-ranch. You visit, you work! If you don't work, the open bar stays closed! Well...okay...I've been known to suspend the rules. Depends on the mood I'm in. When you're pushing 70 years, you get to make things up as you go along.

I bought a carry-all at tractor supply last weekend with same idea. Thanks or photos. Will greatly speed up my project.

DKCDKC--Have a look at the right side of the FEL mast. There are three pre-drilled course thread holes (3/8" if memory serves). I mounted a 3" sewer pipe (cut to length and capped at the bottom) to two of these for my short chains. Works very nicely. Next time I'd probably opt for 4" pipe, if I was sure of access to the grease jerks. (Oops, just noticed you have a 3038E, may not be the same as mine.)

Sorry guys. Color me red! Just noticed the title on this topic. My tractor is a 3032E NOT a 3038. What was I thinking? Dunno. Been a long day.
